My mother and father owned this car for nearly 7 years and I have had it for just over 5 years and it has not let me down once - you`ve gotta love Honda bullet-proof reliability. It comes with the usual HRV spec such as dual airbags, alarm, immobiliser, remote central locking, Aircon, power steering, ABS, split fold rear seats. I`m sure there`s much more too. It also came specced with a CD player and benefits from having a towbar. The service history was by Honda in the first few years and a local independent garage after that. The all important Cam-belt was changed at the recommended 8 years old at only 44k miles - we have the receipt for this. The alloy wheels do not have any kerbing on them at all though a couple of them have a little bubbling about the size of a pea - they are the best alloys i`ve seen on a car nearly 12 years old! There are a couple of small supermarket dings in the bodywork and the front and rear bumpers have some marking but that does not detract from the overall look of the car. The interior has never been smoked in and is unmarked with no apparent wear. Ideal then as a cheap, reliable and straight family car or even for a first-time driver. these subtle mod`s the car is standard. The car has only done 83,542 miles and has been in the family since new, with 2 owners including myself and my mum.Private plate included (J500 ORD) matches the car well as its a Jordan and there were only 500 made.The interior is still like new, with no wear or blemishes on the leather. The rear arches are starting to bubble slightly as shown in the pic`s, nothing someone with a little bit of time and knowledge shouldn`t be able to sort, also it has had a new drivers side door due to someone kindly reversing into it, and rather than trying to repair the door i just bought a new one and had it sprayed, unfortunately with yellow being one of the hardest colour`s to match, in some lights you can tell a slight colour shade difference but nothing major. next MOT once it gets nearer the anniversary date or if somebody is serious in the car i will put it in for MOT earlier. All in all a fantastic car which looks and drives like a car of half its age. Not the usual modified thrashed example, a real credit to its former keepers. Drives great with no nasty knocks or bangs, nice tight gearbox and gleaming Vesuivio Red paintwork, which in my eyes is the best colour! I purchased the car from a couple who were VW fanatics and had bought the car as a go between but ended up owning it for 2 years as they liked it that much. In that time they had the gearbox rebuilt at a main dealer and replaced the clutch at the same time with invoice. I also have had the bottom pulley replaced as these are another common fault of accords of this age. So with the usual problems of accords of this age sorted you can be sure this one won’t give you any hassle. The previous owners also had the bumpers and bonnet repainted also at the main dealer to eradicate the usual age related stone chips so it looks fantastic and is really bright. No previous accident damage or repairs. This car is fitted with Bridgestone RE050 Tyres as Honda intended all round all with plenty of life left in them. Since I have owned the car I have had it serviced. I had the air and oil filters, oil and plugs changed. I have also had the valve clearances set too. I bought the car for my fiancée as she really likes the Accord Type R but since buying the car she has told me she doesn’t like it to drive and I already have 2 cars and so we simply don’t have the space or free money to have it sat here doing nothing. I would like to keep it for myself but I travel 350 miles a week to and from work and so it’s simply not practical enough as I always run it on V power as it should be and we all know how expensive fuel is these days! Engine idles spot one and the Heaters are really warm due to replacing thermostat. | These cars are becoming rare especially in this condition. The car runs beautifully and is extremely reliable. All electrics are working fine. You get good Fuel Economy; you can get roughly 45mpg. This car has NOT been abused and is in good condition for its age. This car is nearly standard with the exception of a few parts; Transmission and clutch changes along with Induction. | Only Bad Points I can think of is bodywork related, the bumpers have small scuffs on the corners taking in to account the car is old so its expected. Rear arches are solid but I see a small amount of paint bubbles. Lastly, Fat fives could do with a fresh paint job to get them looking new as they have never been done since leaving the factory. | Selling as I have bought another car and don’t use this much. had the car for 3 years and i am selling due to a new addition in my family so i will be requiring a bigger car. It has never been in any accidentsor crashes. It was serviced last year after i had done just over 10,000 miles in it.The car has a few minor scratches on the paintwork due to wear and tear but nothing major or distinctive.The previous owner had it serviced and stamped after they bought it, but i dont know if it was serviced the year after because there is no stamp in the book. I didnt have the service done at honda im afraid simply because of the silly prices they charge.Apart from the scratches there is a little dint on the boot lid which is roughly an inch long and can hardly be seen. The alloys have speckled slightly in the middle which is quite common on these cars so ive been told. Other than this everything is in great working order, it has been well looked after since ive had this car and it was previously from what i can gather. All four tyres have at least 3mm of tread left on them. age. I have been driving this as one of my personal cars for the past six months having covered circa 5,000 miles without issue. It comes with both keys, all electrics and accessories working as they should and a full 12 month MOT.This is the top of the range model and now very difficult to source in this condition. Also the drivers seat is difficult to move back and forth, but once adjusted it locks into position fine.As above, loss of parking space means that I need to sell – there is nothing wrong with this car and I`d quite happily continue to drive it if I could.I bought this from the family of a elderly gentleman who had given up driving and moved into a retirement home. (He had owned it since 2008 and before that another elderly gentleman had owned it since new). The car has been maintained meticulously, kept garage and had recently had new brake pads and discs all around along with a recent timing belt change (80,000). However there is absolutely no service history from before I owned the car - they were going to post it on but I guess it was never found. It has never let me down, it is genuine mileage and really an exceptional car.I am still driving this car daily so viewings or test drives can be easily facilitated.
